Hightower uses its scale and corporate team of technologists to survey the landscape of software solutions available in the marketplace to help us provide the most up-to-date solutions to our clients. There are few limits to the types of technology we can access and provide our clients.
We have entrusted Charles Schwab to be the primary custodian for our clients’ assets. Schwab services over $8 trillion in total client assets.* Their financial strength and solutions-based approach are two key reasons we have chosen to work with them. Though we have chosen Schwab as our primary custodian, our open architecture allows us to custody assets at several other providers.
We don’t have a fixed minimum investment level. Our team creates customized wealth strategies for each of our clients. If asset levels are too low, our costs might not make sense for you. We typically work with clients with investable assets in excess of $1 million, but we also work with many younger investors with high incomes and aggressive savings goals.
Our cost is structured as a percentage of assets under management, charged in advance on a quarterly basis. The cost schedule is variable based on the level of assets and the scope of our work. We believe in full transparency. As a result, you see clearly what we are being paid for the value we provide. We do not receive any hidden fees, commissions or other forms of compensation. Charles Schwab acts as the custodian for our client accounts. Schwab offers some of the most competitive fees in the investment industry and they are one of the largest, if not the largest discount broker. Finally, there are no lock-ups or penalties if you decide to leave or go in a different direction.
Establishing your client accounts is handled by our skilled client service team who does all the heavy lifting. Onboarding occurs after we’ve gone through the financial planning process, mutually determined that we are a fit, and have agreed on your wealth strategy.
